Ministers of Care are parishioner volunteers who visit, pray with, and bring Holy Communion to those who are unable to come to Mass because of illness or being home-bound. Ministers of Care help them stay connected to our Church. Visits may be made to nearby hospitals, nursing homes, or private residences.
Ministers of Care are required by the Archdiocese to participate in an Archdiocesan training program before they are commissioned by the parish to perform this ministry. The training enhances the spirituality of the Ministers of Care and prepares them to serve the faithful at their homes and elsewhere.
